Laura began serving with AIM Canada in 1975 – her first assignment being language school in Switzerland. After language study she travelled to the former Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo, where she taught at a Bible Institute in Oicha from 1976 -1998.
When political unrest enveloped Zaire in the mid nineties, she relocated to Kenya (end of 1998 to 2002) and fulfilled the role of bookkeeping for Congo ministries as well as helping out part time at Mayfield Guesthouse in Nairobi.
This was followed by 6 years in the Republic of Chad managing the AIM Guesthouse in N’Djamena and doing finance work for the Team there.
From 2009-2018 she served in Kampala, Uganda doing finance work for AIM’s Central Region.
Her last assignment in Africa was back in Chad’s finance office in N’Djamena for 9 months.
Since January 2021 she is retired and living in Melfort Saskatchewan.
