The McCordics have been married since 2016 and have had a heart for missions in Africa, both as individuals and as a couple.
Colin was born in Toronto but grew up in Chad as his parents were missionaries there. In 2015-2016 Colin joined AIM and served in Chad for 11 months.
Rachel grew up in Victoria, BC. She served as a short-term missionary in Uganda with AIM in 2009-2010. In 2014 she moved to Toronto to serve in the AIM Canada office as short-term coordinator.
In January 2024 the McCordics moved to Chad. Colin is serving on a team whose goal is to help mobilize the Chadian Church for the mission of God. Rachel is teaching at Wellspring Academy, a school for missionary kids.

Chadian Church Mobilization Project
The Chadian Church Mobilization project will help launch the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement course in Chad and to help it develop into a national program which will grow a spirit-lead movement to reach all of Chad for Christ. This project will also be used to help finance other Mobilization trainings and activities to help empower, inform and equip the Chadian Church to participate in the Mission of God to reach all peoples. Training materials and resources will be purchased through this project. It will also help cover costs of transporting and housing speakers and trainers for these trainings. Through all these efforts, Chadian Christian leaders and lay people will be mobilized to reach the unreached and to discover their role in the Mission of God in Chad and beyond.
