Please consider making a financial donation through this page if you would like to support Judah’s 6-month internship with Africa Inland Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
When Judah was 14, his family escaped from the icy winter in Canada to meet their extended family at an all-inclusive resort on the warm beaches of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. After the initial week at the resort, his parents extended their trip to a nearby village, giving him and his three siblings the opportunity to see a different side of Mexico outside the confines of the resort.
Judah was permanently impacted by how differently people lived there. He would gladly have traded the week of luxury at the resort for the rugged experience of living with the vibrant locals, curious stray dogs, and noisy chickens.
After finishing high school, Judah’s interest in both outdoor adventure and studying theology made him a perfect fit for Prairie College’s Outdoor Leadership program. This program uses outdoor adventures in the Rocky Mountains to teach biblical leadership skills. After graduating with a diploma in Outdoor Leadership, he is continuing his education in Prairie’s Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies program.
The third year of this degree takes students worldwide in an internship program called GlobeTREK, where students partner with local churches and missions in a country of their choice. The opportunity to learn from missionaries in foreign cultures is a territory begging to be explored for Judah, given his passion for connecting with various foreign languages and cultures and his desire to talk about Jesus and the Bible.
Judah’s internship is through AIM in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he will partner with the local church, CECA 20. Judah hopes to better connect with people of other cultures through this internship, assist with missions work firsthand, and sharpen his language acquisition skills. Most of all, it is an opportunity for him to see how the Gospel and its God shine uniquely into people’s lives worldwide, to experience it more fully and to share it with others.
Your financial donation is a tangible support for this life-changing project, for both Judah and the people he will be serving in Bunia. Thank you greatly for your support!
