Serving with AIM Canada in Abeche, Chad
Byron and Erica Bright have been serving in Chad since 2015.
The Bright family works closely with the Arabic speaking Church, teaching, preaching, training, and doing evangelism/discipleship among unreached groups.
Since January 2020 they have been leading a TIMO program focussed on training Africans to become cross-cultural missionaries.
Byron and Erica have four children: Lyla, Haddon, Emmanuel and Tim. Erica homeschools all four children from their home in Abéché, eastern Chad.

Faculté de Théologie Evangélique de Kélo – is a theological school of Église Evangélique du Tchad (EET). It was founded in 2013 and consists of two buildings with classrooms, library and areas for study. It is the primary theological school in Chad through which EET pastors are trained. FATEK is looking for help raising funds to build a standalone washroom building on the property. Up until now there have been no bathroom facilities and students have to go elsewhere. AIM Canada missionaries Byron and Erica Bright are hoping to raise 7,000CAD to see this project through to completion.
TIMO Afrique Francophone is a new version of the TIMO training which has been developed in Chad training men and women from French Speaking Africa through two-year on-field outreach teams. This ministry is overseen by Byron and Erica Bright. Money donated toward this project will be a “work and ministry fund” used to finance needs such as literature for the TIMO library, team travel, outreach, and member care.
