Dan has been serving since July 2020 in the role of church/mission liaison with AIM. He has family connections in Africa with a cousin living in South Africa, another cousin who is serving with PAOC in Uganda. He also knows the steep cost of the Great Commission having had a cousin die on the mission field in Uganda.
Dan MacKinnon was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia where he received a call to pastoral ministry shortly after giving his life to Christ. Prior to beginning his ministry Dan considered serving in Africa but the Lord directed him to serve the cause of missions by staying in Canada and being an advocate for the Great Commission here. He has pastored churches in Ontario for forty years while also acting as adjunct faculty at Tyndale University, as a mentor in a pastors’ program at Ashland Seminary in Ohio, and has taught in the Perspectives Course.
Dan and his wife Dawn have three adult children, all living in Orleans, and one grandson. They love camping, hanging out with family at Chelton Beach, PEI. Above all Dan loves Jesus loves to share from God’s Word and longs to see the Great Commission and the Great Commandment being fulfilled more both here in Canada and in the world.
