We were so blessed by the opportunity to serve with Africa Inland Mission this past summer 2025 as a family. Lord willing, we plan to return to Tanzania in July 2026 full-term.

Our primary ministry role will be using Jonathan’s experience as a licenced carpenter and business owner to teach local youth carpentry at the Umoja Pamoja community center in the southern coast of Tanzania. This youth center has been launched in conjunction with over ten local church denominations, in partnership with AIM, to serve as a witness of unity in Christ to the Muslim community in Kilwa Masoko. Umoja Pamoja works to meet the needs of the youth (up to age 30), reaching them with the gospel through sports outreach, various skills training, women’s outreach, and more. The draw to receive free training towards better employment gives the opportunity to build relationships and share the gospel. In addition to serving at Umoja Pamoja, we will be partnering with the local church in helping unreached people groups hear the good news of Jesus. With over 300 villages in the Kilwa district, over 50 of them continue to wait for a Gospel presence through a local church ministry.

We have four children: Andrew (13), Susanna (11), Emily (10), and Jack (8).
