Serving with AIM Canada in Tanzania, preparing to return to Tanzania in 2025

Mikaela has been serving on a short-term assignment as a homeschool helper in Kilwa Masoko, Tanzania for the past year. She has also had the opportunity to engage in various ministry opportunities throughout her time in Tanzania, including teaching at a local kindergarten, going on outreaches to surrounding villages, and sharing the gospel through relationships with local Muslims.

She has felt a call to return to the south coast of Tanzania full-term in May 2025 and will be transitioning to Ikwiriri, Tanzania, where she will be assisting an established missionary family with homeschool while building relationships within the church and community to partner with the local church in evangelism and discipleship.
