Nadia joined a diverse team for 3 months in January 2024 in Tanzania meeting various ministry needs.
Tanzania has won the heart of this vibrant and red-headed young lady. Nadia’s time in Tanzania has been various in her ministry opportunities! Her time in Africa has been greater than her little 6-year-old brain ever imagined when wanting to come. Most of Nadia’s ministry time is spent supporting the long-term team with various tasks. Roughly one month of her time was spent helping one of the long-term family’s welcome child number two into the family this last March. Nadia has been using her classes taken in her undergrad to assist with some of the long-term projects on the ground. Whether that is some Bible classes to preach to the youth, Materials Development to design a logo for a new project, or Cultural Communications to help with some TCK materials.
Chapatis (tortilla like bread thingy), kuku na chipsi (1/4 chicken and potato wedges), and chips mai yai (omlette with eggs and potato wedges only) are some favourite local foods Nadia has enjoyed. She also looks for neat social opportunities to attempt to grow her Swahili or just to be immersed in the culture and understand and appreciate it more!
As Nadia returns home in April, she looks forward to joining camp back home for another round this coming summer. She is not certain what the future all has instore, but trusts to continue lifting up her future plans to the Lord.
